Hello Care Partners, I started this podcast on my soapbox with a complaint about people posting videos of their loved ones with Dementia on Social Media. I don't know about you but I sure hope my kids don't think this is a good idea. There can be a time and a place for training with video but to repeatedly ask "Do You Remember" questions with a person who has no capacity to answer is upsetting to me. I just needed to vent a little bit because everyone deserves respect and dignity especially when you don't understand you are being used for likes on social media! Exhale. OK I'll get off of the soapbox.

Today we are reviewing questions that are frequently asked and then I will use some posters to bring home some better techniques when caring for someone living with memory loss. It is important to realize that your person living with Dementia will act differently than mine. That is ok. The goal is to develop a great relationship with them and love them through this journey. I believe in you and I am proud that you are willing to take the time to learn more so you can serve then better.
