#EP46: Living Life with Dementia

Sometimes learning about a dementia diagnosis can bring the feeling that all is lost or that we won't be able to do anything anymore. I want to bring you some good news, and that is that people can live with dementia for a very long time. Just because one or two parts of the brain are declining does not mean all is lost. We might need to learn how to do things differently or allow help from time to time, but years of life can be experienced by the person living with dementia and the family members around them.

Today, the goal is to share ideas with caregivers on how to continue to thrive with their loved one and allow them to still have purpose. You will hear about 5 different activities, multiple strategies, and stories that hopefully will provide the information you need to make life a little easier as you care for your loved one with dementia.
