Hello Care Partners, Let me introduce you to my new Friend and Colleague Patti LaFleur. Patti is the former carepartner to her mom, Linda, who had younger-onset dementia - and a former elementary educator of over 10 years. Patti designs and leads programs with intentionality, knowledge and love. Patti has a Masters Degree in Instructional Leadership and is a Certified Dementia Practitioner, who has spent countless hours volunteering with people living with neurocognitive disorders, and as a community educator for the Alzheimer’s Association.

In this conversation, Teresa Youngstrom and Patti LaFleur discuss the challenges and experiences of families dealing with younger onset dementia. They highlight the importance of community support, the unique struggles faced by younger families, and the mission of Lorenzo's House to provide resources and understanding for those affected. The discussion emphasizes the need for awareness, the grieving process, and the significance of shared experiences in navigating this journey together. It is vital that we reach and support every family going through the challenges of younger onset dementia.
